What should we bring for our fishing charter?
Camera (optional), sun screen (The UV rays can be very strong in St. Augustine, so at least 30 SPF is recommended) *Please No spray Sunscreen, deck shoes, boat shoes or athletic shoes with light/white soles, no cowboy boots or work boots (non-marring please), ice chest for taking home your catch (please leave in your vehicle), Polarized sunglasses and proper clothing for season. Layers are best - here in Northeast Florida, cool mornings can quickly change to hot afternoons.
Do we need a fishing license?
Necessary Florida Fishing licenses are provided with your charter!
Do you clean the fish?
Yes, I clean the fish at no additional cost. You can take fish home or I can recommend several local St. Augustine restaurants that will cook your fish for you.
Are kids welcome on the fishing charter?
Kids and families are always welcome on our fishing charters. It is my pleasure to take kids fishing and teach them how to be responsible anglers.
What if there is bad weather the day of our fishing charter?
We will speak the night before to talk about the weather and how it may affect the fishing trip. As your guide and captain, it is essential to me that you to have the best fishing charter possible. If the weather looks unsafe or uncomfortable we can cancel or reschedule your charter.
Is Alcohol allowed?
Yes, alcohol is allowed - no hard liquor please and no glass bottles.
How far in advance should I schedule my fishing charter?
It is best to book your fishing charter as soon as possible. Spots fill up quickly March through October. If I am not available for the date you request, I can recommend another local St. Augustine guide who I'm confident will try to provide the same quality charter service as I do.
If you have any further questions about Fishing Charters, please don't hesitate to call or email anytime. I look forward to being your fishing guide!
